San Diego Divers operates out of Sorrento Valley in San Diego, placing it just 5 miles from La Jolla Cove and the Shores — widely regarded as the region's premier diving destinations. The shop has been training divers for over 25 years across a full range of levels, from entry-level open water through advanced, rescue, nitrox, master diver, and introductory technical diving programs. Courses incorporate ocean dives off La Jolla and, in some programs, optional boat dives to the southern Channel Islands. Specialized training offerings cover mixed gas diving, wreck exploration, scooter use, and both photographic and video skills. The progression path runs from basic open water certification through Leadership-level and Technical certification courses, making San Diego Divers a single destination for a diver's entire training journey. Course fees generally include tuition, books, and certification cards, with gear rental available for those who need it. The retail side of the business carries a wide selection of brands including Atomic, DUI, Halcyon, Hollis, Ikelite, ScubaPro, Shearwater, Suunto, TUSA, and many more, along with full-service repair and maintenance. The shop is open Tuesday through Saturday 10am–6pm and Sunday 12pm–5pm.
