Situated inside the 610 Loop in Houston's Greenway Plaza/Upper Kirby neighborhood, Gulf Coast Scuba runs SSI and PADI scuba programs for divers at every level — from first-time Open Water students all the way through Divemaster and instructor ratings, plus technical and closed-circuit rebreather (CCR) training. Pool sessions take place at a private local pool, with open-water checkouts conducted at nearby Texas lakes, making the full certification experience convenient for Houston-area residents. Beyond local training, Gulf Coast Scuba organizes group dive travel to some of the world's top destinations. Past and upcoming trips include liveaboard wreck diving in Chuuk Lagoon's legendary WWII ghost fleet and a resort-based package at Buddy Dive in Bonaire, giving certified divers a pathway from the classroom to world-class dive sites. The shop also carries a wide range of dive equipment brands — including Scubapro, Aqualung, Apeks, Atomic, Mares, Shearwater, and others — with a price-match guarantee against any authorized dealer. Gulf Coast Scuba rounds out its services with a full-service equipment department: regulator servicing, compressed air and Nitrox fills, oxygen fills up to 100%, visual inspections, hydro testing, and tank/valve oxygen cleaning, all handled on a professionally maintained Bauer Vertecon VTC13-E3 compressor. The dive center is open Monday through Saturday and welcomes divers from across the greater Houston metro area.
