Deep Abyss Scuba
From the Houston suburbs to the reefs of Belize and Bonaire, Deep Abyss Scuba delivers precision dive training — private, small-group, and tailored from first breaths to mixed-gas rebreather — alongside fully organized group travel expeditions abroad.
Deep Abyss Scuba opened in 2024 in the greater Houston area, serving communities including Humble, Kingwood, Spring, and Atascocita under the direction of Course Director and Technical Instructor Mark London. London brings more than three decades of diving experience since 1991, holds a BS in Marine Biology from Texas A&M University, and previously served as Chairman of Texas A&M's Diving Control Board — overseeing a program that trained recreational, technical, and scientific divers for university faculty alongside TPWD and NOAA NMFS research expeditions. The training program is structured around private, small-group instruction deliberately kept small to focus on detailed, precision skill development. The curriculum spans everything from entry-level Open Water to the most demanding technical certifications — mixed gas, cave diving, and closed-circuit rebreather diving on open and closed circuit systems. Deep Abyss is an approved military VA Testing Center and Skillbridge facility, actively supporting service members and veterans who wish to use GI Bill benefits toward scuba training. Beyond instruction, the shop stocks and services an expansive inventory of top-tier equipment brands including Atomic, Hollis, Oceanic, Zeagle, Bare, Stahlsac, and XS Scuba, with custom orders available at no extra charge. Group dive travel is organized to destinations such as Ambergris Caye in Belize and Bonaire, the shore diving capital of the Caribbean. Specialty services round out the offering: underwater consulting for complex projects, search and recovery operations, safety diver support for regattas and triathlons, and cylinder VIP inspection and hydrostatic testing.
