Running out of Destin, Florida since 1992, Emerald Coast Scuba operates guided charter trips to the region's wrecks and reefs in the clear Gulf waters, alongside a 3-hour snorkel excursion to the Destin Jetties — a sheltered spot known for calm conditions, good visibility, fish, stingrays, turtles, and a chance at dolphin sightings on the boat ride out. The center's private 14-foot heated pool anchors year-round training and supports instruction from children in youth SEAL Team programs all the way through to career-track candidates. Beyond dive charters, the operation covers the full spectrum of scuba education: scuba certifications from beginner level through a structured Divemaster internship that runs four months to over a year, providing hands-on experience leading boat dives, assisting courses, and managing daily dive center operations. A retail department carries scuba gear, accessories, and apparel from trusted dive brands, while the rental department stocks tanks, regulators, BCDs, and wetsuits for divers who need equipment for a trip or class. Special events add variety to the calendar throughout the season, including an annual Women's Dive Day aboard the Aquanaut in July and limited-time holiday dive packages that give both local divers and visiting guests unique reasons to explore Destin's underwater world.
