Woodlands Dive Center is based in Spring, Texas, on the northern edge of the Houston metro area, and serves the local diving community with SSI certification training from Open Water through Advanced Open Water, plus specialty courses including Enriched Air Nitrox (up to 40% oxygen) and Scuba Skills Updates for divers refreshing lapsed skills. Pool and classroom sessions are held at the center's indoor heated facility, with open water checkout dives conducted over a weekend at local Texas lakes — Mammoth Lake, Blue Lagoon, and Spring Lake — where rental tanks, BCDs, regulators, computers, wetsuits, and weights are provided. Beyond local training, the shop organizes group travel to world-class dive destinations. Recent trips have taken members to Cozumel for drift dives through vibrant Caribbean reefs, to Belize for colorful reef and wall dives, and to the Philippines to explore biodiverse macro environments and reef systems. The center maintains affiliations with international dive operators including Playa SCUBA in Playa del Carmen (covering bull shark dives, cenotes, and Cozumel) and Papa Hog's SCUBA Emporium in Cozumel. Woodlands Dive Center also runs a well-stocked retail shop carrying masks, fins, regulators, BCDs, dive computers, and wetsuits, with gear-purchase bundles available that discount certification course fees by up to $200.
