Narcosis Scuba Center
From the ancient limestone ledges of the Gulf of Mexico to Florida's spring-fed caverns and drift rivers, Narcosis Scuba Center delivers an exceptional range of diving from its home port in Tarpon Springs. Hogfish, Goliath grouper, turtles, and manatees await — whether you're aboard the Narcosis or gearing up for an inland adventure.
Narcosis Scuba Center operates daily dive charters aboard its vessel, the Narcosis, departing from City Marina in Tarpon Springs into the Gulf of Mexico's ancient limestone ledge systems and artificial reefs. The charter program covers a curated collection of named sites ranging from Last Chance Ledge at 19–21 feet to Dolphin Ledge at 57–62 feet, plus Vietnam-era M-60 Army tank artificial reefs, the commemorative Circle of Heroes statues near Veterans Reef, and deep wreck dives to the RJ Thompson (75 ft) and the historic USCGC Blackthorn (Sheridan). Water and snacks are provided aboard, and GPS devices are prohibited — the crew guards its best-kept local sites with real pride. Beyond Gulf waters, Narcosis maintains an unusually broad inland trip calendar. Guests can drift the crystal-clear currents of Rainbow River (max 20 ft, 72°F year-round), cavern-dive at Blue Grotto and Paradise Springs with its prehistoric fossils, drop into Devil's Den sinkhole near Williston (max ~45 ft), or join an overnight camping excursion at Ginnie Springs. Crystal River manatee tours and a shark-tooth shore dive for fossil hunters round out one of the most eclectic trip menus on Florida's west coast. As a full-service facility, Narcosis Scuba offers equipment sales, service, and rentals — including Nitrox and steel tanks, BCDs, reg sets, wetsuits, and more — alongside a comprehensive training program from Open Water through Divemaster backed by more than 20 specialty certifications. Divemasters are available for an additional fee to guide Gulf charter dives, and the shop's retail floor caters to divers at every level.
