Underwater Unlimited has operated from Miami since 1964, making it one of South Florida's most established dive operations. Rather than anchoring to a single departure port, the shop contracts with a fleet of local boat operators — Diver's Paradise, American Dream, Silent World, Sail Fish Scuba, Cap't Slates, and Deco Divers — to run trips spanning over 200 miles of coastline from Jupiter in the north all the way down to Islamorada in the Florida Keys. This rotating partnership means divers encounter fresh sites week after week instead of the same reef every outing. Weekend trips depart every Saturday and Sunday, with monthly full moon night dives adding after-dark adventures to the schedule. Dive profiles cover natural coral reefs on the world's third-largest barrier reef system alongside an extensive collection of artificial reefs: sunken vessels, aircraft, even submerged army tanks. Multiple instructors and divemasters accompany every trip — in the water and on the boat — and the shop welcomes Open Water and Advanced Open Water divers on its guided outings. Beyond the water, UU's brick-and-mortar shop on SW 72nd Ave offers full equipment servicing (regulator and BCD overhauls, cylinder hydrostatic testing, visual inspections, air and custom Nitrox fills), gear rentals, mail-in repair service, and a complete slate of certification courses from beginner through advanced levels.
