Miami Blue Diving
Fish Miami's wrecks with a legend — Jorge Mario Garcia has set 9 absolute world freediving records and knows every wreck within 6 miles of shore. Call Jorge Mario and go spearfishing.
Miami Blue Diving operates private spearfishing charters and instruction out of Miami, Florida, led by Jorge Mario Garcia — a former Cuban National Spearfishing Champion (5 titles in 6 years) and holder of 9 absolute World Records in freediving. Trips venture up to 6 miles offshore, visiting over 20 shipwrecks where divers can encounter grouper, snapper, barracuda, jack, and occasional sharks. Water visibility typically runs 12–25 meters (65 ft), and water temperatures range from around 24°C in winter to 28°C in summer. Charters are fully private — just you and your group — for up to 5 people, running 4-hour half-day sessions. Pricing starts at $400 for one person, with each additional person adding $200. The price covers the captain, boat, gas, first aid, soft drinks, and video and photo documentation. Jorge Mario can also join guests in the water to fish alongside them or provide in-water instruction for an additional $80. Beyond charters, Jorge Mario offers spearfishing courses at multiple levels, including a three-day beginner course for those with no prior experience. A Florida Saltwater Fishing License is required for all participants. Jorge Mario was recognized in 2015 by the Mayor of Miami for his sports career and contributions to marine ecology and environmental stewardship.
