Founded in 2002 and family-owned by Dean and Shana, Pura Vida Divers operates out of Riviera Beach in Palm Beach County, running daily SCUBA diving charters aboard two USCG-certified Newton vessels: the 46-ft Aurelia (up to 26 divers) and the 36-ft Marin (up to 19 divers). Trips depart seven days a week to the coral reefs, wrecks, and signature shallow sites of South Florida, including the world-renowned Blue Heron Bridge at Phil Foster Park — a legendary muck-diving and macro photography destination that the team actively helps maintain through quarterly cleanups and an Adopt-a-Park commitment. Every charter includes an in-water guide, onboard snacks and beverages, freshwater showers with soap and shampoo, weight belts, and safety equipment including emergency oxygen. The shop's full-service fill station provides air, Nitrox (EANx), Trimix, and custom technical blends, and the fleet is equipped with custom tank racks for aluminum, steel, doubles, and rebreathers. In addition to standard reef and wreck charters, Pura Vida specializes in blackwater drift dives and technical diving charters as a TDI Technical Charter Boat. Beyond day charters, Pura Vida Divers offers a comprehensive suite of PADI courses from Open Water through IDC-level instructor training, underwater photography workshops, equipment sales and rentals, and organized travel trips to destinations such as Cayman Brac and Baja whale-shark snorkeling adventures. Conservation is central to the operation — they hold a PADI Green Star Award, are a Shark Friendly Business, and run a monofilament recycling center and reef field station.
