Classes are intentionally kept small — open-water courses cap at six students — to deliver a premium, personalized experience. Training takes place in a heated indoor pool for confined-water sessions and at Lake Travis or Spring Lake in San Marcos for open-water dives. The shop's course catalog spans the full PADI pathway: Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Divemaster, and a range of specialty and distinctive specialty courses. Unique offerings include Freediving, Mermaiding, and a Seal Team program for younger students aged 8–11. Course materials are always included in the price with no hidden fees. Beyond training, Dive World Austin sells, rents, and repairs a wide range of scuba, freediving, and snorkeling equipment as an authorized dealer for multiple manufacturers.
