Dive the shallow reefs of Playa del Carmen or head out to Cozumel's famous walls with direct boat transfers from your local dive shop.
Xtreme Dive Centers operates out of the heart of Playa del Carmen on Av 25 Nte Esquina Calle 8. The shop runs a full weekly schedule of local shore dives that depart directly from the beach in under five minutes to reach shallow reefs with abundant marine life. For deeper exploration, they offer trips to Tortugas and the Mama Viña shipwreck, as well as seasonal bull shark encounters between November and February. Beyond local waters, Xtreme Dive Centers organizes direct boat transfers to Cozumel for diving in the Marine Park's famous walls and reefs without requiring a ferry. They also lead excursions into the cenotes near Puerto Morelos and Tulum, offering both standard cavern dives and advanced deep cenote experiences that require Nitrox certification. The facility provides comprehensive PADI training from Discover Scuba Diving through professional instructor levels. Divers can book 2-tank trips for $99 USD locally or join specialized tours like the Mahahual/Banko Chincorro adventure, which includes private transportation and hotel accommodations.
