Wasabi Sportfishing operates out of Morehead City, North Carolina, offering a range of fishing charters from nearshore family trips to deep offshore excursions. The fleet includes the WASABI, a 48-foot Buddy Harris custom sport fishing boat powered by Caterpillar engines, equipped with modern gear and amenities like air conditioning and full bathrooms. Trips vary in duration and target species: half-day trips stay within sight of land for Spanish mackerel, bluefish, and bonito; three-quarter day trips venture 25 miles out for king mackerel and black seabass; and full-day or 16-hour offshore trips chase mahi, wahoo, tuna, sailfish, marlin, and swordfish. The operator also participates in various marlin tournaments along the East Coast. Captains are U.S. Coast Guard accredited guides with extensive experience, including commercial fishing backgrounds. All charters include licenses, tackle, bait, and coolers with ice.
