SNUBA® Key West
Breathe underwater without a dive card — SNUBA® Key West lets guests as young as 8 glide over living coral reefs on the same sites where certified divers explore. From the flats of Crawfish Basin to the elkhorn stands of Western Sambo, the Keys are right outside the hull.
Operating out of Key West since 1999, SNUBA® Key West specializes in the SNUBA® system — a patented surface-supplied breathing apparatus that lets guests breathe underwater from a compressed-air raft without any scuba certification. Participants as young as 8 years old can descend alongside professional guides to explore the same coral reefs that certified divers visit, from sponge-laden Archer Key to the elkhorn-coral stands of Western Sambo. The operator has established partnerships with Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Disney cruise lines, making it one of the most recognized underwater activity providers in Key West. The flagship vessel, Good Times, is a 47-foot luxury power catamaran equipped with plush cushion seating, a bathroom with running water, fresh and shade areas, and a reverse-osmosis fresh water rinse. A second vessel, the 32-foot center console "Lori C," handles the Looe Key Reef excursion — a 5–6 hour adventure departing from Big Pine Key at mile-marker 30, staffed by a USCG Master Captain and Divemaster, with two dives plus a sandbar stop included. The operator rotates through ten named reef and ledge sites in Key West's Sanctuary Preservation Areas, including Eastern Dry Rocks, Rock Key, Sand Key, and Sigsbee Ledge — a distinctive wall dive created from WWII naval dredge spoil. Certified divers can book 2-tank scuba trips to the same system. Beyond diving, the Key West Cocktail Cruise offers sunset sailing with craft cocktails and California wines, while sandbar parties and fully custom event charters are available for groups of any size. Full certification training through Divemaster and a PADI Rescue Diver program extend the training calendar year-round.
