Scuba Libre operates from a downtown shop on Calle 4 in Playa del Carmen and has been running local dive trips since 1998. The team offers morning and afternoon reef dives for certified divers, with sites chosen based on conditions including Barracuda, Sabalos, Tortugas, Punta Venado, Mama Vina, Los Arcos, Cerebros, Pared Verde, Moc-Che, Jardines, and Chun-Zumbul. Beyond local reefs, the operator runs cenote dives featuring caverns with stalactites and light beams filtering through the jungle. They also offer a Cozumel Express trip that crosses directly from Playa del Carmen to the reef walls of Cozumel, as well as seasonal bull shark diving typically available from November to March. For non-divers or mixed groups, Scuba Libre provides daily snorkeling trips departing by boat from the beach in front of their shop. These include a standard two-hour reef snorkel and a full-day whale shark experience during its season.
