Rio Santos

Paddle through Fort Lauderdale's hidden mangroves and snorkel vibrant nearshore reefs — all in small, intimate groups guided by passionate locals who treat every guest like family.

Rio Santos is an eco-adventure company based in South Florida, running guided tours along Fort Lauderdale's coastal reefs and mangrove waterways. The operation keeps groups small and personal, with a focus on immersive encounters with the natural environment — from colorful soft corals just minutes offshore to the quiet, wildlife-rich canals winding through the mangroves. Every outing is led by knowledgeable local guides who share insight into the ecosystems and marine life that make this stretch of South Florida coast exceptional. The snorkeling tours head to nearshore artificial reef structures and soft coral formations, where guests can encounter tropical fish, rays, and sea turtles at a relaxed pace suitable for both first-timers and confident snorkelers. The mangrove kayak and paddleboard tours follow calm waterways where manatees (in season), iguanas, crabs, birds, and other wildlife are regular sights. A combo package combines both experiences into a single half-day adventure. Sustainability and education are core to Rio Santos's approach — guides actively teach guests about responsible ocean practices and the ecological role of mangrove systems. All tours include quality gear, snacks and drinks, sunscreen, and a complimentary instant photo, reflecting the company's attention to detail and its commitment to making every outing feel like more than just a tour.
