Captain Jerry and his wife Kim — both certified divemasters — run a family-owned operation with 35 years of experience navigating local reefs, wrecks, and drift zones. The charter visits over 30 wrecks and three distinct reef lines, ranging from beginner-friendly shallow reefs like Hillsboro Ledge (34–40 ft) all the way to advanced technical wrecks such as the Hydro Atlantic lying in 172 feet of water. The variety of dive experiences sets Parrot Island apart: standard day trips include two- and three-tank reef or wreck dives, plus dedicated night dive charters and spearfishing runs. Technical divers can arrange specialized excursions to deep offshore wrecks — the Captain Dan (110 ft), the Jim Atria (135 ft), and the Guy Harvey (145 ft) among them — with advance booking for organized groups. Drift diving along the South Florida reef lines, shark encounters, and snorkeling round out the offerings. Marine life in these waters is exceptional: sea turtles, nurse sharks, reef sharks, goliath grouper, eagle rays, moray eels, barracuda, and seasonal visitors such as hammerhead sharks, whale sharks, and manta rays. All staff are certified and insured divemasters or instructors, and the operation also provides gear rentals, nitrox fills, tank rentals, and an Open Water certification course for those looking to earn their first card.
