Minutes of Use Charters
Minutes of Use Charters runs deep-sea fishing trips out of Dauphin Island and Fort Morgan Marina aboard three custom charter boats targeting snapper, amberjack, tuna, and more in the Gulf of Mexico off Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Minutes of Use Charters has been operating out of Gulf Shores, Alabama since 2016, led by Captain Jerry Whisenhunt. Anglers are picked up at either Dauphin Island Marina (650 Leymoyne Dr.) or Fort Morgan Marina (1577 AL-180 West), giving guests two convenient departure points along Alabama's Gulf Coast. The operation runs three distinct vessels: "Minutes of Use," a 31-foot Cape Horn center console with twin Suzuki 300 HP engines for budget-friendly trips; "Data Girl," a 35-foot Cabo Express sport fisher with twin 500 HP CAT engines suited for longer offshore and overnight tuna runs; and "Honey & Jamm," a 40-foot catamaran with quad 300 HP OXE diesel outboard engines offering speed, space, and comfort. Trips range from 4-hour half-day outings to 12-hour deep-drop and overnight excursions, targeting red snapper (with a no-catch, no-pay guarantee), amberjack, king mackerel, tuna, billfish, wahoo, dolphin, cobia, shark, grouper, and other seasonal species. A unique Deep Sea Fishing + Beach Break Combo combines offshore bottom fishing with a stop at one of the remote beaches near Dauphin Island — West End, Sand Island, Little Dauphin Island, or Petit Bois Island — and is available in 8- and 10-hour configurations for up to 6 passengers on the 31-foot Cape Horn. All trips include a fishing license, gear, bait, and free fish cleaning.
