Louisiana Bluewater Charter Co.

From the backwaters of the Mississippi River Delta to the deep blue of the Gulf of Mexico, Louisiana Bluewater Charter Company puts you on trophy fish year-round out of Venice — one of the top fishing destinations in the United States.

Louisiana Bluewater Charter Company runs guided fishing trips from 237 Sports Marina Road in Venice, Louisiana, with access to both the Gulf of Mexico and the Mississippi River Delta. Offshore charters venture up to 40 miles from the Venice coast, pursuing yellowfin tuna, swordfish, marlin, and wahoo, while inshore charters run six-hour trips closer to home targeting redfish and speckled trout in the Delta. The company also offers two-day combo charters combining both inshore and offshore fishing. The crew is led by a team of experienced captains — Bob Hovey, Alex Sewell, Austin Ourso, Josh Edwards, Rob Douglas, Triston Elston, and Charlie Burt — who bring decades of collective knowledge of Gulf and Delta waters. The fleet includes top-of-the-line Freeman offshore boats, a 25'/26' BlackJack, and multiple 26' and 20' Bluewave vessels, and the company can accommodate large groups and corporate fishing charters. Lodging is available in houseboats right on the water, and the company provides all gear and tackle for charter trips. Bookings are handled by Lauren, reachable at 504-427-3363.
