Aristakat Charters
Hunt for Megalodon teeth in the shallow Gulf waters off Venice, or drop down to sunken army tanks and one of the Gulf's best wrecks — all on fast, clean catamarans with a max of six divers per boat.
Aristakat Charters has been running dive trips out of Venice, Florida since 2008, operating two identical 30-foot catamaran vessels with licensed, drug-tested captains and US Coast Guard certified crews. The operation keeps groups small — a maximum of 6 divers per vessel — and runs trips seven days a week, weather permitting. Their boats are equipped with fresh and salt water rinse stations, Honda marine engines, and custom boarding ladders, and are kept out of the water between trips. The signature offering is the Megalodon and fossil dive: a 2-tank, 4-hour trip in 10–30 ft of water where divers search for shark teeth and prehistoric fossils. For those seeking structure dives, the Army Tanks & Barge trip visits four submerged army tanks and an 85–100 ft sunken barge in 60 ft of water, with sightings of goliath groupers, turtles, stingrays, snappers, and amberjacks. The Bayronto shipwreck trip is an 8-hour, 2-tank excursion to a 400-ft-long wreck sunk by a hurricane in 1919, sitting at 100 ft depth and reserved for advanced-certified divers. All trips include tanks (aluminum 80s yoke valve) and weights, with bottled water provided. Additional gear is available for rent at booking. Optional guided dives with a dive guide are available for an extra fee. The crew is O2-certified and carries oxygen on all trips for diver safety.
