Lost Reef Adventures
Dive the only living coral reef in North America — from historic wrecks like Joe's Tug and Cayman Salvage to vibrant shallow reefs at Sambos and Sand Key, Lost Reef Adventures puts you in the water with small, personalized groups and over 40 years of local expertise.
Lost Reef Adventures operates out of Key West Bight Marina, directly across from the Half Shell Raw Bar in the heart of Old Town. With more than 40 years of local experience, the operation runs twice-daily diving and snorkeling excursions to the Florida Keys' iconic reef system — the only living barrier reef in North America. Signature dive sites include Sambos Reef (10–50 ft), Sand Key (35–75 ft), Joe's Tug wreck (45–65 ft), Cayman Salvage (67–93 ft), and the famous Vandenberg wreck, giving divers everything from shallow coral gardens to deep wreck penetration in a single destination. The shop prides itself on small-group, personalized service across all experience levels. Certified divers can join daily boat trips while beginners are welcomed through Discover Scuba resort courses that get guests underwater the same day. Full PADI certification courses — Open Water, Advanced Open Water, and checkout dives — are available with flexible scheduling including eLearning options. The full-service dive shop carries a complete line of scuba and snorkel equipment for sale and rent, prescription masks, air fills, and nitrox. Private charters, sunset cruises, and special event excursions (weddings, memorial services, family outings) round out the offerings, making Lost Reef Adventures a one-stop Key West water sports company open seven days a week, 8 AM to 7 PM.
