Lauderdale Diver
Explore South Florida's world-class reefs and wrecks — from the drift-diving lemon shark waters off Jupiter to the legendary sponge-encrusted wrecks of the Florida Keys — with a team that has been booking divers on the best local boats since 1978.
Set in Fort Lauderdale's Marina Mile Business Park on West State Road 84, Lauderdale Diver has served as a South Florida diving hub since 1978. Rather than running its own vessel, the shop acts as a seasoned booking agent, placing divers on reputable local charter boats across a wide coastal corridor stretching from Jupiter — Florida's drift-diving capital, famous for lemon shark migrations in January and February — down through Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and all the way to the Florida Keys. Reef and wreck diving are the backbone of the offering: highlights include the 185-foot Mizpah WWII yacht off West Palm Beach, the 287-foot Wreck of the Eagle lying on its side at 110 feet off Islamorada, and the iconic Molasses Reef and USS Spiegel Grove in Key Largo. The shop also connects divers with more distant Florida destinations including Crystal River manatee snorkeling, cave and cavern diving at Ginnie Springs, and the 888-foot USS Oriskany off Pensacola. The retail floor carries an extensive selection of scuba, freediving, and spearfishing gear, and the team performs authorized service and repair on most major equipment brands, as well as competitively priced air fills. All students who complete a certification course at Lauderdale Diver receive a lifetime 10% equipment discount in the store. Lauderdale Diver also operates a full-service yacht outfitting division, supplying and installing compressors, underwater scooters, yacht slides, medical supplies, and accessories on vessels worldwide. Trip pricing is available by calling the shop directly; the team books divers seven days a week and will work to find alternate boats if a scheduled vessel is unable to run.
