Keys Huka Dive

Drop into the Shark Tooth Capital of the World and hunt for prehistoric megalodon fossils on the Gulf floor—no dive certification required to join the adventure.

Operating from the Nokomis Boat Ramp near Venice, Florida, Keys Huka Dive specializes in shark tooth fossil-hunting adventures on the Gulf seafloor. Their flagship 4-hour Shark Tooth Adventure takes guests to the famous Boneyard—a fossil-rich stretch of Gulf bottom where prehistoric megalodon teeth and ancient relics await discovery. Guests can snorkel, paddleboard, or try Huka diving, a surface-supplied air system that lets non-certified participants breathe underwater down to 20 feet, while certified scuba divers can explore deeper territory. The operator maintains one of the highest crew-to-customer ratios in the area, with every trip staffed by PADI Divemasters or Instructors. Beyond the Shark Tooth Adventure, Keys Huka Dive offers evening Tiki Tours with sunset views and megalodon storytelling, private boat charters for groups wanting a fully customized high-seas experience (with snorkeling, paddleboarding, dolphin and manatee watching, and optional scuba or Huka diving), and guided shore dives designed specifically for certified divers hunting fossils directly from the beach. The shore dive is all-inclusive—all gear and divemaster guidance come with the price—making it an easy and immersive entry point for certified divers eager to search the fossil beds. For those wanting to build their credentials, PADI certification courses are available including Open Water, Advanced, and Rescue Diver levels, alongside a Discovery Scuba introductory experience that includes both land-based orientation and an actual dive. Whether you're a seasoned scuba diver or a first-time water adventurer, Keys Huka Dive's Venice-area operations offer a genuinely distinctive way to explore millions of years of Florida's prehistoric underwater heritage.
