Gulf of America Outfitters operates fishing charters out of three Louisiana Gulf Coast locations — Venice (year-round), Port Fourchon (seasonal, May–September), and Lake Charles (seasonal, May–September). Venice serves as the primary base and is pitched as one of the most productive launching points in the Northern Gulf, with full-day and overnight offshore trips targeting yellowfin tuna, swordfish, wahoo, mahi mahi, snapper, grouper, tilefish, and queen snapper. Inshore trips out of Venice and Lake Charles use specialized bay boats to work marshes, bays, and bayous for redfish, speckled trout, black drum, and sheepshead. Offshore trips are run aboard Freeman center console boats rigged for Gulf conditions. Every charter includes premium rods, reels, tackle, live bait, ice and cooler storage, GPS navigation, Bluetooth music, required safety equipment, fighting belts, and full catch cleaning and filleting. Inshore charters run 23-foot Kenner or 23-foot Hanie bay boats with a similar all-inclusive setup. Captains on the fleet include Captain Joe VT (F/V Hangman), Captain Chad (F/V Seacario and inshore), and Captain Bone (F/V Valkyrie). Trip options range from a 10-hour full-day offshore run to a 36-hour extended deep-drop charter out of Port Fourchon, plus half-day inshore guided trips. Lodging is available near the marina at each of the three departure locations, making the operation suitable for multi-day fishing trips.
