Freediving Uvita

Experience the raw power of Costa Rica's Pacific through expert-led freediving training and sustainable spearfishing charters.

Freediving Uvita operates from the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, offering a range of ocean experiences centered on freediving and spearfishing. The business provides certified training courses for all levels, including beginner Wave 1 to advanced Wave 3 certifications, as well as specialized Evolution Spearfishing courses. For those seeking guided hunting trips, they run local reef charters in Uvita and Dominical, offshore pinnacle dives near Caño Island, and full-day blue water expeditions targeting yellowfin tuna. They also offer private ocean tours for whale watching and dolphin encounters, utilizing hydrophones to capture the sounds of marine life. The team includes CEO & Instructors Sylvain Lambrechts and Charline Pelz-Ferry, along with instructor Hans and captain Greybi. Their operations are supported by their boat, La Pipa Loca, and they emphasize small group sizes and safety protocols.
