Emerald Sea Diving
Dive the Pacific Northwest with a shop built for it — Emerald Sea Diving brings a "Safety First, Northern Attitude" approach to diving in Oregon's cold, rich waters, where the skills you earn here will take you anywhere in the world.
Emerald Sea Diving is based in Portland, Oregon at 9011 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway and is run by owner German Dionne, who founded the shop out of a deep love for Pacific Northwest diving. The center offers PADI certification courses ranging from Open Water and Discover Scuba Diving through Adventure Diver and Rescue Diver, as well as the PADI ReActivate refresher program and specialty courses like Emergency Oxygen Provider. With a philosophy rooted in ocean conservation and the mantra "Plan your dive. Dive your plan," the shop aims to produce skilled, safety-conscious divers ready for both local and global waters. Beyond training, Emerald Sea Diving operates a full service and rental department. Rental gear spans cylinders, BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, drysuits, computers, and accessories, all available by the day. The service shop handles regulator overhauls, BCD servicing, drysuit leak tests and repairs, tank inspections and hydrostatic testing, and more — typically on a 2–3 week turnaround. The homepage also notes dive travel as part of the business, with upcoming dive trips on the horizon.
