Dolphin Dive Center

From a first breath in the pool to bucket-list dives in the Maldives — manta rays, sharks, and vibrant reefs — Dolphin Dive Center connects Athens-area divers with the training, gear, and trips that match their ambitions.

Based in Athens, Georgia, Dolphin Dive Center is a full-service dive shop whose staff brings decades of combined underwater experience to every interaction. The operation spans three pillars — certification training, equipment sales and service, and organized dive travel — making it a one-stop resource for divers at every stage, from curious beginners to seasoned adventurers chasing international bucket-list destinations. On the training side, SSI-certified instructors run Open Water and Advanced Open Water certification courses on a regular monthly schedule, with classes offered nearly every month through mid-2027. A "Try Scuba" introductory experience in a confined, controlled water environment is also available for individuals, families, or social groups who want a low-pressure first look at scuba before committing to a full course. Specialty classes round out the curriculum for divers looking to build further skills and confidence. For equipment, Dolphin Dive Center is an authorized Aqualung retailer, covering the full range of masks, fins, BCDs, regulators, and dive computers, with the ability to special-order items not in stock. The shop also provides authorized Aqualung service alongside servicing most other major brands — with annual inspections strongly recommended. Travel is an equally prominent part of DDC's identity: the center organizes both domestic and international dive trips, including past highlights like a week-long expedition to the Maldives featuring manta rays, sharks, and healthy coral reefs.
