Columbus Scuba operates out of a full-service dive shop at 4680 Indianola Ave in Columbus, Ohio, offering everything from introductory Try Scuba experiences to technical and professional-level PADI certifications. Open Water students complete their pool sessions weekly at set locations, then travel approximately two hours north to Gilboa Quarry in Ottawa, OH for their four open-water checkout dives. The shop is authorized to blend air, nitrox (28%–100%), and trimix, and serves as a certified PSI cylinder testing facility. Beyond training, Columbus Scuba organizes a robust annual calendar of dive travel trips to destinations including Bonaire, Cozumel, Roatan Honduras, Dominica, the Philippines, Indonesia, Belize, Fiji, and the Red Sea. Yearly staples also include Ginnie Springs, Florida and Blackbeard's Liveaboards in the Bahamas. The Philippines Aggressor liveaboard trip features up to four dives a day in Tubbataha Reef Natural Park, a marine sanctuary known for sharks, sea fans, pelagic fish, turtles, and macro diving. The shop stocks a large inventory of dive equipment and is an authorized dealer for multiple manufacturers, offering gear sales, full regulator and BCD service, tank visual inspections, hydrostatic testing, drysuit repairs, and equipment rental. Students receive a 20% discount on rental gear, and the community-focused ethos extends to potluck dinners and BBQ lunches at Open Water checkout weekends.
