Brownie's YachtDiver, operating out of a canal-front location along the Intracoastal Waterway just off Fort Lauderdale's 17th Street bridge, runs daily dive charters aboard the Reef Roamer — a 32-foot Island Hopper powered by a 3208 Cat Turbo diesel with an 18-knot cruising speed. Though the vessel is certified for 21 passengers, all SCUBA trips are deliberately capped at 6 divers for comfort and quality. The Reef Roamer covers an extensive stretch of South Florida dive territory, from the Tenneco Towers off Hallandale Beach to the Hydro Atlantic off Deerfield Beach, serving recreational, technical, and snorkeling groups. Beyond charters, Brownie's is one of the largest Scubapro retailers in North America and serves as the factory-sponsored flagship for Brownie's Third Lung (its proprietary tankless hookah diving system) and Halcyon dive gear. The full-service dive store stocks an extensive range of recreational and technical equipment — including wetsuits, spearfishing gear, dive computers, underwater scooters, and gas cylinders — with worldwide shipping available on most products. Dive instruction at Brownie's Southport Divers spans the full spectrum, from introductory open water through deep trimix and rebreather training.
