Adventure Charters

Skip the booking fees and book direct with Captain Steve for a high-quality Puget Sound fishing adventure. All bait, tackle, and filleting are included in your fair price.

Adventure Charters is a family-owned and operated fishing charter business based in the greater Seattle area, with over 25 years of experience. The operation runs out of two main ports: Shilshole Bay Marina (Dock D) in Seattle and Port of Edmonds (Dock D), choosing the departure point based on seasonal fish migrations to keep run times short. The charter specializes in Puget Sound saltwater fishing, offering shared and private trips for salmon, flounder, halibut, tuna, lingcod, surf perch, and Dungeness crab. The business is led by Captain Steve Kesling, who has 46 years of local experience and a background as a Sport Fishing Advisor for the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. They also hold contracts with NOAA and National Marine Fisheries for scientific catch-and-release studies. Trips are typically morning departures (often 6 hours) where all bait, tackle, equipment, fish cleaning, filleting, and sales tax are included in the price. The operator emphasizes direct booking to avoid third-party commissions and provides honest fishing reports directly from the captain.
