Wild Rivers Fishing
Wild Rivers Fishing is a full-time guided fishing operation based in Brookings, Oregon, running drift boat and jet boat trips for salmon and steelhead on the Chetco, Smith, Elk, Sixes, Rogue, and Coquille rivers, as well as saltwater charter trips out of the Port of Brookings.
Wild Rivers Fishing is operated by full-time guide and Coast Guard-licensed charter boat captain Andy Martin, who grew up in Brookings, Oregon, fishing the rivers and ocean waters of Southern Oregon and Northern California. The company runs guided drift boat and jet boat trips targeting king salmon, steelhead, lingcod, halibut, and tuna across multiple river systems and coastal waters, including the Chetco, Smith, Elk, Sixes, Rogue, Klamath, Coos, Umpqua, and Coquille rivers, as well as ocean charters out of the Port of Brookings. Seasonal fishing opportunities span the full calendar year: winter steelhead on Southern Oregon and Northern California rivers (late December through March), spring king salmon on the lower Rogue River (late March through June), early fall salmon in Rogue Bay and coastal estuaries (August through October), late fall salmon on the Chetco, Smith, Elk, and Sixes rivers (October through December), and Alaska halibut and salmon trips to Glacier Bay (late May through early September). Andy Martin holds a special Forest Service permit for the Wild and Scenic Upper Chetco and is one of a limited number of guides licensed for the famed "Chetco Bubble Season" fishery. The Wild Rivers Fishing guide team includes Andy Martin, Rye Phillips, and Travis Sallander — all experienced full-time professionals with extensive backgrounds guiding in Oregon, California, and Alaska. Full-day guided trips run 8 hours at $300 per person (two-person minimum), with all bait and tackle included and the catch filleted and bagged after the trip.
