USDDA - United States Dental Diving Association
Membership association for dentists organizing Caribbean dive trips with boat dives and dental education seminars.
The United States Dental Diving Association (USDDA) is a Boca Raton-based membership organization for dentists who share a passion for SCUBA diving. The association meets three times annually in various Caribbean locations, where participants combine two to three daily boat dives with dental education seminars delivered by fellow member dentists — allowing attendees to earn up to twenty hours of AGD continuing education credits while diving. Meeting destinations are selected for the quality of their diving, availability of resort meeting facilities, and ease of air access. Both refresher courses and full scuba certification classes are offered at each meeting site, making trips accessible to non-certified dentists as well. Non-diving companions are welcome and benefit from the same group-discounted resort rates, with activities such as snorkeling, sailboat cruises, water skiing, and fishing available. Led by President Richard M. Reiter, DMD, LCSW, the USDDA is a niche travel-and-education organization rather than a traditional dive charter. Prospective members can apply through the website or contact the president directly for information on upcoming meeting locations and schedules.
