The Frenchman Spearfishing is a UK-based spearfishing and freediving school established in 2018 by Maxime Blondel. The operation runs from Plymouth on the southwest coast of England, utilizing a dedicated 6-meter RIBCRAFT RIB named Relentless for all water training and charter activities. The business offers a structured curriculum ranging from beginner discovery days to advanced offshore spearfishing levels (SF1-SF3), alongside AIDA freediving courses. Charters are available for qualified divers, including coastal foraging trips in sheltered coves up to 8m deep, inshore drifting over reefs and wrecks at depths of up to 15m, and offshore expeditions beyond 15m along underwater cliffs. The team includes a certified AIDA freediving instructor with commercial diving experience and RYA-qualified pilots. The vessel is fully coded for commercial use under MCA regulations (Cat 3R), ensuring safety standards are met for all participants.
