The Dive Bus
Small-group shore diving in Curaçao — Pierbaai's house reef and the Car Pile wreck up front, with relaxed bottom times on bus trips around the island.
The Dive Bus is a shore-dive operation based in Curaçao that runs guided and independent dives from its house reef at Pierbaai (including the Car Pile wreck) as well as bus trips to other sites around the island. The operator keeps groups small — typically 6 divers on the bus trips, with a maximum of 8 per instructor for guided dives — in order to provide longer, relaxed bottom times. The shop is located along M.L. King Boulevard and operates seven days a week from roughly 8:30 am until 5 pm (later if there's a night dive). The schedule is built around the divers' bookings rather than fixed departure times; morning check-in is at 8:45 am and afternoon sessions start at 1:30 pm. Water temperatures range year-round between 26–29 °C, allowing diving in all seasons. Beyond fun dives, The Dive Bus offers a full spectrum of PADI courses from Discover Scuba through to the Instructor Development Course (IDC), plus equipment rental and retail for brands such as SCUBAPRO, Garmin, Spacefish Army, Sharkskin, KAHU ponchos and Stream2Sea sunscreen. As Curaçao's first Project AWARE 100% operator, it donates to reef conservation on behalf of each graduate.
