The Cormorant Freediving is a freediving center based in the port of Ajaccio on Corsica. The operation runs from a dedicated performance barge called U Marengone, which was used to support the 2024 AIDA World Championships and features two performance lines, sonar tracking, solar power, and comfort zones for divers. The team organizes daily morning freediving sessions in the Gulf of Ajaccio between May and October. They also run multi-day training camps (10-12 days) and a major annual event called "Deep Week" which includes technical stages, coaching by world champions like Abdelatif Alouach, and competitions for all levels from beginners to experts. The center offers infrastructure including classrooms, changing rooms, showers, a gym, sauna, ice bath, and briefing areas. They support certifications from FFESSM, AIDA, and Molchanovs.
