Nestled on Hood Canal and homesteaded since before Washington statehood, Sund Rock invites divers to explore its waters from a storied family property that has been welcoming visitors for generations.

Sund Rock sits on Hood Canal in Hoodsport, Washington — a family-owned property homesteaded by Colbein John and Bertha Sund prior to Washington statehood. The site has been operated by successive generations of the Sund family, who developed the property into a dedicated shore diving destination open to the public by reservation. Entry is priced at $25 per person (tax included) for divers, observers, and shore duty personnel, with a discounted rate of $20 for veterans and first responders with valid ID. Dive cards offering a buy-five-get-one-free deal are also available. All regular admission includes dive beach entry, a freshwater rinse station, warm shower, picnic area, gear-up benches, and parking; portable restrooms are on site. Reservations begin at 8:00am daily (9:00am on Mondays and Fridays), with the last reservation accepted at 12:30pm and the property closed to all visitors by 5:00pm. Night dive access is available through a partnership with YSS Dive in Hoodsport. Exclusive weekday and weekend/holiday access for groups of up to 25 visitors can also be arranged, and a free diving package is offered in conjunction with a two-night stay at the nearby Glen Ayr Resort.
