The operation's base lodge at 3992 Airhart Rd sits just 10 minutes from the Golden Nugget and L'Auberge Casinos, making it a convenient hub for both fishing-focused and leisure-minded visitors. The offshore program centers on red snapper and other Gulf species, structured for families and anglers of all skill levels who favor light-to-moderate bottom-fishing tackle over more demanding pelagic pursuits. Captain Picou handles all bait, tackle, fish cleaning, and bagging, so guests can focus entirely on the catch. Additional activities such as crabbing and kayaking are also available on the water. For a fully immersive stay, Southern Salt offers all-inclusive packages that bundle a full-day guided fishing trip with multi-night lodging in the 3,000-square-foot Big Lake lodge (up to 14 beds), daily meals including breakfast, on-boat lunch, and dinner, and optional beer, liquor, and wine service.
