Southern Pride Charters
Southern Pride Charters runs offshore fishing charters from Grand Isle, Louisiana, into the Gulf of America targeting reef fish and trophy pelagic species aboard two purpose-built vessels.
Southern Pride Charters operates offshore fishing charters out of Grand Isle, Louisiana, into the Gulf of America. Captain Ed Pitre, who grew up in South Louisiana with a deep-rooted fishing background, has spent over 20 years running offshore charters in the Gulf and today leads a crew of experienced captains and deckhands. The operation runs two vessels: the Motor Vessel Louisiana, a 65-foot walkaround multi-passenger charter boat equipped with a galley, restrooms, and a bunk room; and a 37' Freeman high-speed vessel for groups of up to 6, fitted with cutting-edge electronics and fishing gear. Trips range from 12–36 hour bottom fishing excursions targeting red snapper, vermilion snapper, and grouper on Gulf reefs, to 36-hour overnight runs into deeper water for Yellowfin Tuna and other trophy pelagic fish. Note: This business is an offshore fishing charter operation. No diving, snorkeling, or scuba activity is described anywhere on the page.
