Sound Dive Center has anchored the Pacific Northwest dive community from its Bremerton, Washington shop since 1972. Veteran-owned and operated, the center runs scheduled boat charter days aboard the 6-pack Sea Ya, a 38-foot Chris Craft Commander fitted with weather protection, a warm-water deck shower, and an on-board AED and oxygen kit, departing from Tyee Marina in Tacoma. Advanced divers tackle the Puget Sound's mild currents, deeper depths, and cold 40–50°F waters, making it a proving ground that prepares divers for anywhere in the world. Beyond local charters, Sound Dive Center organizes free monthly community shore dives — complete with snacks, water, and warmth — and curates international travel packages ranging from a Cozumel all-inclusive resort dive trip to a liveaboard in the Azores/Dumaguete, a Beqa Lagoon, Fiji resort package, a Monterey Kelp Forest getaway, and a 14-night Philippines adventure at Atlantis Resorts. The shop boasts the region's largest in-stock dive equipment and accessories, full rental and repair departments, and in-house warranty service. Training is a cornerstone of the operation, with the shop serving as the Olympic Peninsula's only NAUI Dive Center (NAUI #F0000019). Courses span Try Scuba introductions through Divemaster, including specialty certifications such as Nitrox, Drysuit, Full Face Mask, and OTS training, all taught by an expert instructional staff with decades of experience and fully up-front pricing with no hidden costs.
