SCUBA ETC.
Since 1974, Scuba Etcetera has been Central Florida's go-to dive shop — where beginners take their first breaths underwater and experienced divers pursue everything from cave certification to top-tier gear.
Scuba Etcetera has been serving Central Florida's diving community since 1974, originally opening in Winter Haven before settling into its current home at 715 Alicia Road in Lakeland. As Polk County's only dive shop offering this breadth of services, it has built a reputation as a full-service hub for divers at every level — from first-time students to experienced cave and technical divers. The shop stocks quality brands including ScubaPro, Dive Rite, Akona, DUI, and Submerge Silent Submersion underwater scooters, and offers equipment inspection, repair, rental, and both new and used sales. An onsite training pool supports in-house instruction and lets customers test gear for fit and comfort before committing to a purchase. Tank fills in both air and nitrox are available on-site. Training programs run the gamut from PADI Open Water through Advanced and Specialty courses, with additional pathways into cave diving through NSS-CDS and technical/gas programs through IANTD. Scuba charters are also on offer, rounding out a truly full-service operation. Under owner Steve Forman's leadership, the shop's founding philosophy — equal parts safety and fun — remains the guiding principle for every diver who walks through the door.
