Santa Barbara Aquatics operates out of 5822 Hollister Ave in Goleta, just minutes from Santa Barbara, serving the California Central Coast diving community with certification training, dive trips, and a well-stocked retail shop. PADI courses range from Open Water through Divemaster, and the shop's guaranteed gear-fit policy for students — replacing any ill-fitting item before the first pool session — reflects a hands-on, diver-first approach that has built a loyal local following. The Open Water certification course is a particular highlight, taking students from home-based eLearning through weekend pool sessions and into the open ocean. Weekend two includes a shore dive at nearby Refugio State Beach, followed by a full-day Channel Islands excursion aboard the Spectre Dive Boat out of Ventura Harbor, departing at 6:00 am and returning around 4:00 pm with meals and hot-tub access included. The Channel Islands offer kelp forests, rocky reefs, and some of the most productive marine environments on the West Coast.
