Salty Hooker Fishing Charters operates out of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina — just minutes from Myrtle Beach — running fully private fishing trips for groups of up to six guests. The fleet consists of two purpose-built vessels: a 34' SeaVee designed for serious offshore performance and comfort, and an agile 26' Mako suited for versatile nearshore and offshore action along the Carolina coast. Local captains, described as born-and-bred locals, guide every trip. The charter covers a wide range of trip styles and distances. Half-day trips run 5 hours and target species 10–20 miles offshore; ¾-day trips push 35–40 miles for 8 hours; full-day trips reach 40–55 miles over 10 hours; and Gulf Stream expeditions venture 50–70 miles offshore over 12 hours chasing mahi mahi, wahoo, and blackfin tuna. Closer to shore, a 4-hour inshore/nearshore trip targets redfish, flounder, and sea trout, while a 3-hour evening shark trip runs May through September. A relaxing sunset cruise with no fishing is also available. All fishing trips include rods, reels, bait, tackle, fishing licenses, safety gear, complimentary fish cleaning, and water and ice in the cooler. Prices are per boat (not per person) with up to 4 anglers included; a 5th or 6th guest may be added for $100 each. A 15% deposit is required at booking, with the balance due the day of the trip.
