Dive the pristine house reef on Sveti Andrija or explore historic Adriatic wrecks like the Baron Gautsch from Rovinj's two convenient bases.
Rovinj Diving operates two distinct bases in Rovinj: the Villas Rubin base on the mainland coast and the Island base located on the four-star hotel island of Sveti Andrija (the Red Island). The Island base is situated directly next to a house reef where small rays sleep in the sand during the day and seahorses swim among countless sponges. Trips depart from a boat dock just one minute's walk from the Island base, with travel times to dive sites ranging from 10 to 30 minutes. The operator offers access to a variety of underwater environments, including colorful rock formations and historic wrecks. Notable sites include Banjole, San Giovanni, Lighthouse, Sturago, Piruzzi, and the famous Baron Gautsch wreck, described as one of the most well-known in the Mediterranean. The Hans Schmidt (Istra) wreck is also listed at a distance of approximately 9 nautical miles. Facilities at both bases include lockable equipment rooms, freshwater rinse tanks, MARES rental gear, drying areas for dive suits, outdoor showers, and workshops for minor repairs. A small shop sells spare parts and dive apparel.
