Rocket Frog Divers

Experience the rich marine life of Costa Rica's Gulf de Papagayo with fast boat trips to manta-filled Catalinas and shark-rich Bat Islands.

Rocket Frog Divers operates out of Playas del Coco in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica. The shop utilizes a fleet of seven purpose-built dive boats to access three distinct diving areas: local sites within the Gulf de Papagayo (15-minute ride), the Catalinas Islands (30-minute ride), and the Bat Islands/Isla Murciélago (50-minute ride). The operator is known for its fast vessels, which allow divers to reach remote locations like the Bat Islands in a fraction of the time it takes competitors. The local Gulf de Papagayo sites feature variable conditions with visibility ranging from 10-70 feet and temperatures that can fluctuate by up to 5 degrees Celsius daily. The Catalinas are highlighted as the best location for swimming with Pacific Giant Mantas, while the protected Bat Islands offer encounters with bull sharks, schools of devil rays numbering in the thousands, and other abundant marine life.
