Captain Derek Brown has fished these coastal waters for over 15 years, operating vessels that each accommodate up to 20 passengers and come fully rigged for fishing and comfort. The operation runs private charters exclusively — no shared or walk-on trips available. Six charter packages span from a 4-hour half-day to a 12-hour long-day outing, covering distances ranging from 15 miles out to artificial reefs to 50–55 miles out to the snapper banks. Shorter trips target sea bass, sheepshead, flounder, and Spanish and king mackerel at nearshore artificial reefs, while the longer full-day and extended packages push to natural ledges and hard bottom for grouper, cobia, snapper, and shark. Fishing is available year-round, with a rotating cast of seasonal species — cobia, mahi mahi, barracuda, redfish, and sea trout — moving through local waters depending on the time of year. An 18% first mate/captain fee is added to all charter rates.
