Reef Encounters Texas is a full-service scuba diving shop in Belton, Texas, founded by Ben (NAUI Course Director 58581), who began his diving career in 2004 while stationed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The shop serves divers at every stage of their journey, from first-time Try Scuba experiences through Divemaster and Instructor Trainer programs. It is also a NAUI Approved VA Testing Center, providing certification exam services for military members and veterans. The training catalog is extensive, covering recreational courses such as Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air Nitrox, Rescue, and Master Scuba Diver, as well as technical disciplines including Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures, Technical Sidemount, and more. Multiple agency pathways are available through NAUI and SDI/TDI, and specialty courses are offered in both recreational and technical tracks. NITROX is incorporated into open water dives conducted below 40 feet as part of the Open Water course. Beyond training, Reef Encounters Texas organizes international dive travel in collaboration with Bohique Travel, with 2024 and 2025 tour dates available.
