Porthkerris Divers is a dive centre located on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, UK, operating from a complex situated directly on the beach at Porthkerris Cove. The site features one of the best shore dives in the UK, accessible by car and suitable for disabled divers, with depths reaching 18 to 20 metres depending on the tide. The cove is protected from most winds except easterlies, providing calm conditions during summer months when prevailing south-westerly winds are strong. The operator offers boat charters using two vessels: the Celtic Kitten, an 8.5-metre power catamaran with an electric lift that operates as a shuttle between dives, and the Celtic Cat, a 45-foot catamaran ideal for diving numerous sites around the Lizard. Boat trips visit a variety of wrecks and reefs including The Andola, Mohegan, Penwin, Ragland Reef, Carmarthen, Citrine, City of Gent, Epsilon, Caroni River, Stanwood, Blackhead Reef, Active Wreck, Lizard Point, Bizzi Reef, Old Wall, and Carrick Roads. Shore dives are available at Drawna Rock in the protected cove area. The facility includes a fully equipped classroom for PADI and BSAC training courses from Open Water to Instructor level, as well as IANTD Nitrox & Advanced Nitrox and DAN O2 Provider certifications. SSI freediving courses are also offered. The site features on-site parking, camping pitches with electric hook-ups, a retail shop selling diving gear and books, equipment hire including dry suits, 24-hour toilets/showers/changing rooms/kit wash facilities, qualified first aid providers on site at all times, an emergency telephone on the beach, and a catering wagon open daily from 9:00am. Haskel Trimix pumps are installed for Nitrox cylinder charging.
