Peace Dive Boat

Ventura, USAListed on Direct
Operated by Peace Dive Boat

Dive the remote Channel Islands National Park aboard the legendary Peace — a historic liveaboard famous for its on-board saltwater hot tub, 24 bunks, and unmatched access to Southern California's most pristine kelp forests, sea caves, and offshore pinnacles. 2026 is the final season for this iconic vessel.

The Peace Dive Boat has operated out of Ventura Harbor for 35 years, running scuba and freediving trips to all eight of California's Channel Islands — Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, San Miguel, Santa Barbara, San Clemente, Catalina, and San Nicolas — as well as the remote offshore seamounts of Cortes Banks and Tanner Banks. The 62-foot wooden-hulled vessel was built in 1972 and converted for dive operations shortly thereafter, carrying up to 32 passengers on single-day excursions and up to 24 on overnight and multi-day liveaboard trips, with 24 bunks, a full galley, four compressors, and the boat's signature on-board saltwater hot tub. Single-day trips to closer islands like Anacapa and Santa Cruz welcome beginners and intermediate divers with dramatic scenery and photo opportunities, while longer multi-day trips reach the more remote northern islands, Cortes Banks, and Tanner Banks. Night diving is available on overnight trips conditions permitting, and the boat accommodates spearfishing, lobster hunting, and free-diving trips in addition to standard scuba. Nitrox fills are available for an additional fee, and all trips include meals and non-alcoholic beverages. Marine life in these protected waters is exceptionally diverse: California moray eels, giant black sea bass, garibaldi, harbor seals, sea lions, bat rays, angel sharks, horn sharks, yellowtail, white seabass, nudibranchs, lobsters, multiple abalone species, and thriving kelp forests are all commonly encountered. The Peace also specializes in custom charters for dive clubs, research groups, film crews, and private groups. 2026 is the final year of operation for this historic vessel.
