Octopus Garden is a German dive center and training academy located in the northeast of Malta at the Gillieru Harbour Hotel in St. Paul's Bay. The base operates from its own jetty using traditional Maltese fishing boats called 'Luzzus' to reach over 50 dive sites around Malta, Comino, and Gozo. The operator offers daily boat trips with two dives per day, visiting a variety of underwater landscapes including caves, rock arches, reefs, grottos, and shipwrecks. Notable sites include the Santa Maria Caves near Comino at 9m depth and the Imperial Eagle wreck at 40m featuring an underwater statue of Jesus. Water temperatures range from approximately 15 degrees in spring to 27 degrees in summer, with visibility up to 40 meters. In addition to dive trips, Octopus Garden functions as a full-service SSI training academy and retail shop. They offer certification courses ranging from Basic Diver to Master Diver levels, along with equipment rental and sales of gear from brands like Mares, Aqualung, Bare, and Scubapro.
