Ocean's Eight Dive Co. operates out of Boynton Beach, Florida, running guided reef and wreck drift dive charters just one mile offshore of the Boynton Inlet. The dive sites sit within the Southeast Florida Reef Tract — a system stretching from Miami-Dade to Martin County — and feature vibrant coral formations, ledges, tropical fish, sharks, sea turtles, and goliath groupers, alongside artificial and natural wreck structures that draw diverse marine life. Drift diving is the format: the captain drops divers at the site and guests move naturally with the current (typically northbound), covering more reef while conserving energy. The 36' Delta dive boat Sexy Walrus — completely transformed from its former life as "Loggerhead" — is spacious, stable, and diver-friendly. Every trip includes an in-water guide who navigates the site, tows the dive flag, and points out marine life, with groups capped at 8–10 divers for a personalized experience. Weekday departures leave at 9:00 AM, while weekends offer a morning departure at 8:00 AM and an afternoon departure at 1:00 PM, each running approximately 4.5 to 5 hours. Private guides, hunting guides (lobster, lionfish, spearfishing), and full private charters can also be arranged. The operation is led by Darren and Sarah Cockerham, who left careers in emergency medicine and hospitality management to pursue diving full time. Darren holds a USCG 50 Ton Captain's license with Towing Endorsement and brings 35+ years of diving experience alongside his background as a Supervisor Paramedic and U.S. Army Staff Sergeant. Sarah's degree in Hospitality & Restaurant Management ensures every aspect of the guest experience runs smoothly from check-in to splash — a veteran-owned, safety-first team built around creating lasting underwater memories.
