Located in Clackamas, Oregon, Ocean Paradise Dive and Travel serves the Portland Metro area and Vancouver, WA from their full-service dive facility just off the I-205 corridor. The shop is veteran-owned and operated, combining all-level PADI scuba instruction with tropical destination dive trips and local Pacific Northwest diving opportunities — a one-stop resource for divers from first certification through professional development. The shop is led by owner Larry Reinhardt, who began diving in Monterey, California in 1988 and has been instructing since 1993. A former member of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Search and Recovery Dive Team and a certified underwater investigator, Larry holds the PADI Course Director rating and teaches a broad spectrum of specialties including wreck diving, deep diving, night diving, drift diving, enriched air (nitrox), digital underwater photography, and diver propulsion vehicles, among many others — at both diver and instructor levels. Beyond instruction, the shop stocks multiple brands of scuba, snorkeling, and watersports equipment and is an authorized service and repair center for multiple equipment manufacturers. Note: the business is currently rebranding as Rip City Scuba and Watersports at ripcityscuba.com, while continuing to operate at the same Clackamas address.
